The Museum Barberini, Navigating.art, and the Wildenstein Platter Institute are thrilled to present "Networks of Impressionism." The project includes an exhibition and digital platform that will contextualize the relationships between the artists, collectors, critics, and art market participants who shaped Impressionism from the 1850s to the 1950s to help readers examine the social, economic, and cultural relationships that influenced artistic production and reception during this pivotal period. This collaborative project will integrate the WPI's extensive archival materials and the Museum Barberini's research on the Hasso Plattner Collection through technology built by Navigating.art. Future platform developments will integrate related research from additional institutions. "Networks of Impressionism" is scheduled to launch in Fall 2026 alongside a corresponding exhibition at Museum Barberini. For Impressionist Futures, Linda Hacka, provenance research associate at the Museum Barberini, and Lisa Weiß, product lead at Navigating.art will present the multifaceted project and share a demo of the digital publication.
